When Man Ray was asked to photograph the work of the sculptor Brancusi, he was very impressed: “Coming into Brancusi’s studio was like entering another world.”
Visitors of Haydi’s studio sometimes have that same experience. There is constantly work, drilling, tinkering, hammering, sharpening, welding or painting going on. All this in the middle of a large collection of uncommon materials and objects. For Haydi as well, her studio is “another world”. A place where she can in all freedom transpose her feelings, thoughts and inspirations and transform them into lasting pieces of art.
